Welcome to eBiz Professionals Inc.

Welcome to our website. Via the links on this home page, you will learn about eBiz - who we are, what we do, and the capabilities we have to offer. You will learn about our commitment to the Agriculture and Food industries, and to Healthcare; about food safety, biosecurity, animal health and traceability; and about the use of information technology to record, analyze and deliver them.

At the top of the page, there is an image of a path  leading into a forest... or perhaps leading out of it. "The Path" is central to how eBiz works, and to how we see our role in working with our clients.

Planning
A number of years ago, while working in a capital-intensive commodities industry, my job included the long-range strategic planning for the company and its divisions. In support of the typical strategic initiatives - what markets to enter, what equipment to purchase, what personnel to attract and how to structure the organization - were thirty years of financial projections, all focused on the results which we were expected to deliver.

Since that time, the planning horizon of most organizations shortened considerably - from thirty years to mid-teens, then to ten - and eventually to the three-to-five years most organizations currently use. And, perhaps driven by the rapid pace of activity and change, through Total Quality, globalization, the Information Age, Dot-Coms and the rest, businesses have started to talk more about how they do their business, and have focused less on outcomes.

Anticipating Needs
eBiz has its roots in information technology, and a constant in that part of our work is that technology continually advances. What is more important, however, is that clients´ requirements evolve in response to changing demands in their industries. Our job, therefore, is to help our clients anticipate and define requirements, both in their organizations and in the methods and approaches which serve them, and to help them through the changes which result.

The Path
When planning the direction eBiz would take, my partner and I often talked about our Path, rather than a traditional strategic plan. He believed, and I came to understand, that persistently moving in a positive direction and doing the right things along the way were the keys to success for us and for our business.

Our Path led to understanding the Agriculture and Food industries, focusing particularly on food safety, biosecurity, animal health, and traceability, as these industries move to assure their markets of their commitment to the security of their products. We were also given the opportunity to enter the Healthcare industry, focusing on procurement and purchasing, and the efficiency of the supply chain. And we have continued to support many of our clients with information management and technology.

We searched out good people - people with good values, varied interests and deep knowledge. We dedicated ourselves to doing whatever our clients need, for as long as they needed us. We developed the confidence to say "yes" when asked if we could help.

In the following sections of our website, you will learn of our interest and ability to help you along your way. We have people who offer specialized capability, and we have experience which will help you navigate through tough or unknown terrain.

Call or email to start a conversation about how we can help you follow your path.
