Ontario's poultry industry has established the Agricultural Response Materials Management Inc. (ARMMI) to improve the ability and capacity to respond to emergency situations. The project will aim to provide emergency supplies and ensure the quick response of industry to on-farm emergency situations, such as disease outbreaks.
eBiz has been selected to aid in the development of ARMMI, which includes the need for establishment of contractual relationships with suppliers of response materials, and development of detailed distribution plans and protocols with the four Ontario Poultry Boards.
ARMMI is a not-for-profit organization founded by Ontario’s feather boards and poultry industry organizations. Funding for this project was provided in part by Agriculture and Agri-food Canada through the Agriculture Adaptation Council CanAdvance program and the Government of Ontario through OMAFRA.
ARMMI’s founding members include Egg Farmers of Ontario, Turkey Farmers of Ontario Chicken Farmers of Ontario, Ontario Broiler and Hatching Egg Chick Commission, Poultry Industry Council, Ontario Livestock and Poultry Council and Association on Ontario Chicken Processors.
